March of the Robots 2019

Visiting the golden age of anime and game robots.

Well, lets turn back the clock to years ago. When things were more carefree.
And it was more abundant with considerable amounts of robots.
Perhaps it should already be known that I do like my
mechas and robots.
However, it’s not really talked about as much despite my heavy display of it.
Namely due to the fact that my former friends and people in general just simply don’t care.

Yes, I used to remember when Gundam Wing and Seed was a thing back in the early 2000s.
But, my fascination with mecha goes much deeper.
Back in the early 2010s, hitting it’s end around 2013 or so.

A Few black and white brushpen works that is becoming a staple for my practices and showing what can be done with just a brushpen.

Marathoned lots of retro Mecha Animes such as Votoms, getter Robo, Mazinger Z, Ideon, Gunbuster, Evangelion, Big O and bunch of other things. It was a real “weebou” times. But mind you this was a time when anime was just becoming mainstream unlike the very recent days. And in the years of 2016-2019 and perhaps beyond. It will become more of a thing too.

A Comic that is based on the current technology of robotics.

I admit, power watched Darling in the Fraxx. Marking a half a decade dormancy of watching anything mecha. Frankly, it was not quite the way I wanted but it will have to do. The Show was about the characters, not the mecha, and the mecha’s designs are not as expected.

It was a good run. But shaved off lots of resources like inktober 2018.
